"The X-Files veteran James Wong makes his feature debut with this entertaining supernatural horror movie, in which the principals' surnames are taken from legendary genre figures from the past such as Murnau, Lewton and Chaney. It's as if the teen slasher and the disaster flick had met in the Twilight Zone, as Devon Sawa's premonition of a midair disaster comes explosively true and Death begins to stalk those who escaped thanks to Sawa's timely intervention. The premise is flawed and the exposition clumsy, but the methods of demise are as hilarious as they are ingenious, with Wong more intent on toying with our expectations than providing outright shocks." - Radio Times Review

"For a director whose debut feature was Disney's animal adventure Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco, choosing a horror film for a follow-up might seem a surprising option. But watching David R Ellis's highly effective sequel to sleeper hit Final Destination, you'd never imagine he was anything other than a seasoned frightmaster. This time around it's perturbed teenager AJ Cook who prompts Death to resume his stalking, after her premonitions save her and a group of motorists from a devastating freeway pile-up. While the film is no more sophisticated than the original, Ellis's skilful manipulation of tried-and-tested horror conventions demonstrates a thorough understanding of the genre. Combining innovative gore sequences with irony-laden dialogue, this is a deliciously over-the-top thrill-ride with no pretensions — and the fun of guessing how the movie's doomed protagonists will meet their maker will keep most viewers hooked till the end." - Radio Times Review
